Our mission is to give the experience of removing the instantaneous conversation we have become so reliant on in our society, and reverting to the slow messaging and mysterious conversation that is lost with modern communication.
Despite asking for replies via the internet, the messages are sent out anonymously with no knowledge of who will find them or where they will end up.
Today was the first day of the project. Look for more bottles in days to come! Thanks for the feedback so far, and you are welcome to do as you please with the bottles, you can relocate them, keep them, or recycle them.

I found one at the Lechmere station in Cambridge as I was getting off the train. I was having a wicked bad day, so I got really pumped when I saw the bottle. Completely intrigued about opening it up.
It said "Taking Back Sunday is reuniting. Get excited." and I did get excited! I love TBS so it was awesome to see that message. I have it in my car now to remind me of the things that you can find during a bad day that can cheer you up.
I'm planning on writing my own and putting it somewhere for someone to find. Hopefully I can cheer up someone the way that this person cheered me up!
My buddy and I found a bottle in a bush outside MFA~! The message inside was "you need not be wary of your decisions, trust you will choose what's right for you".
I found a bottle in the North End in the rain. It was a bit wet and some of the message was smudged, but after I let it dry, it was legible.
It read: "WHen you hear or see a swallow, go, without speaking, to the first well on fountain you see and there wash your eyes and pray that they will not be dimmed, and so the swallows will carry away all trouble from them. -Etruscan spell
I was intrigued by the message and it really made my day. I was having the worst day and to find something out of the ordinary was great. I hope this keeps happening for other people to find. Thanks so much for doing this, it's really cool.
I found a bottle a couple weeks ago in a bike rack at MIT, by Building 1 on Mass. Ave. The message said "You are exactly where your supposed to be." Appreciated the sentiment, but not the poor grammar. Very cool idea, though. Both exciting and unexpected.
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. Plato"
Found on the MIT campus by the shuttle stop on 5/9/2010, but forgot to go to the link until I saw the picture we took of the message on the day of =) -- ANC
I found one at the Ashmont station from a couple of weeks ago, opened and it read: "You don't need him! Be free =)" I liked the idea but wasn't a message for me (if I understand the "him" being refereed to. I'm a straight guy.
If a girl had found it, she might have appreciated it (depending on our superstitious she is). A cooler concept was the ad for Boston Youth Poetry needing money for Brave New Voices, all the best.

Thanks! If you could write the blog site on the messages you write, we can keep this growing!
I found a message on Mass Ave near central square in a coffeeshop. It said, "You are exactly where you're supposed to be"
It made my day, so i left it for someone else.
